Located
on Hwy 16
Located on the western end of the city on Hwy 16, towards Vanderhoof,
is where you can find most of the large "big box" style
stores. Costco, Canadian Superstore, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and Western
Canada's largest Canadian Tire are all close to each other.
Malls
and Fast Food Restaurants
The malls are conveniently located on Hwy 97 with good access and
contain large parking lots. If you're running short on supplies,
Prince George makes a good choice to stock up while travelling throughout
northern BC.

George Recreation Centres
If you need a workout, the Prince George has two public facilities
the George Aquatic Centre which is situated at at 1770 George Paul
Lane or the Four Seasons Leisure Pool located at 700 Dominion Street.
Attractions
Ester's
Inn
For kids, take them to Ester's Inn which features a waterslide,
various pools and a tropical oasis. Ester's also has rooms and makes
a nice diversion from the snow if you're travelling in the winter.

Just remember if you are enjoying the countryside around Prince
George, please remember this is Bear Country as is the rest of BC.
Try to avoid the rivers during heavy salmon spawning times unless
you feel comfortable with bears around. There is also the possibilities
of encounters with wolves or cougars so please play it safe and
practice good outdoor wildlife procedures.
