Rock
Creek is located 52 km (32 miles) east of Osoyoos
on Hwy 3 with the junction point of Hwy 33 coming south from Kelowna.
Kettle
River Valley
Rock Creek is a small, unincorporated community made up of small
ranches nestled in the Kettle Valley. The Kettle River slowly meanders
through Rock Creek, making the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of
the area.
Rock
Creek Businesses
There a few businesses present in Rock Creek including a store,
gas station, motel, the historic Prospector Pub and the Mighty White
Dolomite Ltd. a limestone mining and quarrying plant located across
a bridge on the north side of the Kettle River.
Kettle
River Swimming Hole
Just 5 km (3 miles) north of Rock Creek on Hwy 33 is the Kettle
River Recreation Area - the site of a great swimming
hole. For people who like to tube, this is a good point to drop
off and slowly meander down the Kettle River back to Rock Creek.
Trans
Canada Trail-KVR
If you are doing the Trans Canada Trail-KVR, make this campsite
a destination point. There is a trestle on the trail that crosses
the Kettle River right next to the parks beach area. The campground
can fill but usually the park attendants can find space in the overflow
for people who are on the trail even if you don't have a reservation.

Creek Fall Fair
The Rock Creek Fall Fair is held on the second weekend after Labour
Day in September. This fair features agricultural products and showcases
home crafts from the local people in the Rock Creek area.
Sky High Blues Festival
Rock Creek is also famous throughout the region for having one of
the Best Blues festivals taking place. This event is called the
'Sky High Blues Festival' and if you enjoy live Blues music, you
will not want to miss this event.
Conkle
Lake Provincial Park
For those who enjoy a nice quiet lake set in a quiet forested area
with no noise try the very serene Conkle Lake Provincial Park. The
park is set high above Rock Creek with road access off Hwy 3 towards
Bridesville or Hwy 33 towards Westbridge
in Rhone. Just remember this is a forestry
road and you'll need to take you're time.
Bear
Country
Just remember if you are enjoying the countryside around Rock Creek,
please remember this is Bear Country just like the rest of BC. Try
to avoid the rivers during heavy salmon spawning times unless you
feel comfortable with bears around. There is also the possibilities
of encounters with wolves or cougars so please play it safe and
practice good outdoor wildlife procedures.
Kettle
Valley
There is the Kettle Valley Golf Course and Kettle River RV Park
located just 9 km (5.6 miles) east of Rock Creek at a settlement
called Kettle Valley.
