Two spots to try are the public beach located on Kalamalka Lake
Provincial Park and Kal Beach on Kalamalka lake Road.

Star Mountain
Then, as fall and winter come round, the boarding and skiing available
at Silver Star is second to none.
Coldstream
Valley
Close by to Coldstream going east is the beautiful Coldstream Valley.
Up here you will find the small communities of Lavington and Lumby.
Lumby
This is spectacular country with Mabel Lake and the Shuswap River
all within your reach. Going east of Lumby on Hwy 6, the Monashee
is a large mountain range with excellent hiking opportunities.

Neighbourhood
Living and having Vernon as a close neighbour, Okanagan Lake is
quite accessible from Coldstream. One excellent park you might want
to look at for swimming and recreational boating is Ellison Provincial
Park.

This park features sunken wrecks, schools of fish and sandy beaches.
The snorkeling and scuba diving are excellent. Make sure you take
good walking shoes; Ellison has some excellent hikes but can be
dangerous because of the steep bluffs that surround the bays.
